ssk – (slip, slip, knit) With the yarn at back, slip 2 stitches knitwise, one at a time, to the RH needle. Insert the LH needle through the fronts of the stitches and knit them together to decrease one stitch.

K1 in the row below With yarn at back, insert RH needle from front to back into the center of st one row below next st on LH needle. K this st, sl top st off LH needle without knitting.
